I spoke with Bloodsaw, a new aggressive metal band for you all to keep an eye on! Here we discussed origins, biggest inspirations, music and more, all of which you can read here now!
Firstly, introduce yourselves! Where is the band from, what do each of you do in the band, and when was the band formed?
We are Bloodsaw from Manchester. I’m Ryan, I sing and play bass and Matt and Jensen are on axe duties, drummer is yet to be announced.
Who are some of your biggest inspirations as a band? Did any of the music you listened to growing up inspire your current sound today?
We all grew up on metal and rock music.
Is there anywhere you’d like to perform one day? Maybe a certain country or a festival?
We would love to play in Germany or anywhere in Europe really.
In October you released your self-titled EP! What is your favourite song from the EP and why? How were you feeling when making the EP?
The self-titled track is a favourite amongst the band, I think it really captured what we’re about.
Looking at the future, do you have any plans for this year? Any plans to release new music or play some gigs?
We have a lot planned for 2025 but I can’t say too much.
How does the recording/creating process when it comes to your music usually go? Do you find it quick and easy to create something new or does it take a while?
Recording the demo was surprisingly quick, definitely quicker than we expected.
If someone was discovering you for the first time and had no idea what to expect, what would you tell them?
I wouldn’t tell them anything, I’d like to know what their opinion is more than anything.
My personal favourite from your self-titled EP is “Deadly Speed”. It was a great way to close the EP! What are your thoughts on the song? What can you tell us about it?
Thank you! “Deadly Speed” was mostly mine and Matt’s idea, it’s definitely got an old school vibe and is fun to play.
Where do you hope to see yourselves in a few years? What do you hope to have achieved by then?
We would love to hopefully get signed and tour as much as we can with some big bangs.
What is your favourite song to play live and why?
My favourite song to play live is actually a cover of “The Antichrist” by Slayer, they’re one of our biggest inspirations as a group and it’s just really fun. Makes people go mad.
Thanks so much for your time! To wrap this up, do you have anything you’d like to say to your fans and anyone that has supported you?
I’d like to say thank you very much, it means the world!
